Project sustainability was recorded in Amuzi community in Ahizau during unscheduled monitoring field visit as community members were seen of clearing bushes surrounding their homes to prevent and control malaria.

Sensitization seminar at Knowledge International School, Afor-oru focused on Menstrual Health Management. The 81 girls in attendance demonstrated an increase in knowledge level by using individual menstrual cycle chart developed to get ready for their period. Others used role-play to show how they will break the silence.
Quiz competition on SRHR topics at Chidinma Memorial Secondary School where members of the GEMS peer support group transferred knowledge to 25 students by organizing an inter-house quiz competition during school break period. There were 2 teams, each comprising 3 students and 5 rounds with questions on MHM, impact of poor menstrual hygiene practices, myths/ misconceptions of menstruation, steps to reusable pad-making & breaking the silence on Menstrual Health Management.
Engaging the science teachers as supervisors of the GEMS support group and working with them to mainstream menstrual cycle and health education in their classroom is instrumental to sustaining the social norm change and ensuring the conversation continues even as the teens graduate through classes, progress through puberty and have evolving needs.
