Our program, Girls’ Ending Menstruation in Nigeria has inspired a generation Z activism with 465 members of 3 GEMS peer support groups challenging the silence and changing the legacy of shame associated with menstruation. 3,276 people reached have become owners of their own social change within their schools, women associations, men’s social club & households. In turn, these beneficiaries reached have lauded 1 message in 3 communities “Push back against period shame: end stigma against menstruation”.
